On Friday all of BPS had a Remembrance Day assembly to acknowledge the 100 years it has been since Armistice Day on 11 November 1918. Each class made a pot of poppies and two people went up to the stage to say an interesting fact about a person from our area who enlisted and fought in the First World War. They then took the pot to our Memorial and we had a minute silence to remember all the soldiers who fought and died for our Country. We thank everyone who came.
By MIA. The 13 September is also known as R U Ok Day, the theme colour is yellow. Our school wrote a message in a leaf or love heart and hung them in different parts of the school. The 4/5M year 4 girls and Anja all hung the messages on the same tree and it has now became their friendship tree. Thank you wrote by Mia.
Last Friday 7 September our school had a fundraiser for the farmers and drought. It was a great chance for the students to dress up. We did lots of fun bush dancing and we raised over $1300
It was a great day. by Mia. On the 11 May Broulee Public School had Mother's Day breakfast. It was quite the morning, we had stage two choir sing Bella Mama which was beautiful. We had croissants and fruit for breakfast with a nice warm cup of hot chocolate or coffee. It was a cold day but a great day and a very big hit we had most of the school come with their parents. A BIG BIG thank you to Kiran and Matilda who came along as early as 7am this morning to help get ready for our Mother's Day breakfast.
As you look at the letter 'B' we were standing on the bottom left hand corner. Thanks to the students who wore a bit of red on the day. Mrs Lowe reported that the colours could be clearly seen from the sky. While we waited for the plane to arrive, we did a little bit of dancing and waving practice. |
